Committed to workplace safety and compliance, the Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) successfully trained 27 first aiders in Occupational First Aid and Basic Life Support-CPR from March 18-20, 2025, at Country Inn, Santa Ana, Cagayan. Among them, 23 were CEZA locators, while four were from CEZA’s Santa Ana Office. Experts from the Santa Ana MDRRMO and BFP led the intensive training.
Participants mastered essential life-saving skills, from handling cardiac and breathing emergencies to managing injuries, medical crises, and environmental hazards. Hands-on simulations tested their ability to respond effectively in real-life scenarios. After thorough assessments, all trainees earned their First Aider Certificates, valid for two years.
Now in its fifth consecutive year, this initiative highlights CEZA’s dedication to safety, aligning with the Philippine Labor Code and the Philippine Hotel Code. By empowering its workforce with life-saving skills, CEZA continues to build a safer, more prepared economic zone.
