Santa Ana, Cagayan previously known as The Paradise of the Northeast with its powder white sand and its majestic waves, magnificent waterfalls and family-friendly activities has been among the most visited tourist destinations in Northern Luzon.

And the Cagayan Economic Zone Authority has taken significant strides in creating awareness and promoting energetically these tourism areas within the Cagayan Special Economic Zone and Freeport.

With the relaxed restrictions on the pandemic, CEZA was able to exceed its number of tourist arrivals in 2020. As of December 2021, a total of 99,729 tourists were recorded visiting the establishments in Sta. Ana

PALAUI

Risen to fame for its raw and unspoiled beauty, the Palaui Island has gained media attention as a must-go beach and island destinations. It was given the distinction of being among the top ten beach and island destinations in the world in 2013 by CNN Travel. It is a protected area and a national park where sustainability and cleanliness are strictly imposed.

CAPE ENGAÑO LIGHTHOUSE

A historic Spanish lighthouse completed in 1892 and is located in the north end of Palaui Island, also known as Faro de Cabo Engaño.

DOS HERMANAS

Seen from the northernmost tip of Palaui, two steep rock formations emerged from the sea.

CAPE ENGAÑO COVE

A 4-kilometer white sand and coral beach lie at the northern tip of Palaui with lush green landscape.

BARATUBUT FALLS

It is a 30-meter high and a 3 tiered waterfalls that is known to be majestic and cascading.

DUMASAG RIVER

A site ideal for agro-tourism. Nestled at the foot of the Sierra Madre, Dumasag features a river for thrill seekers and casual tourists as well.

POZO ROBO

This is a 53 hectare area blessed with a long stretch of white sand beach and thriving flora and fauna, perfect for local and foreign tourists that would feature its northern shoals as well as an adventure valley.

CEZA also has plans to develop Santa Ana’s eco-tourism sites but is careful to protect these natural havens from exploitation and over tourism. CEZA assures the public that it will pursue development but will never sacrifice the pristine environment for some unregulated tourism growth.

NANGARAMOAN ECO- TOURISM PARK

The resorts district is envisioned to serve as the commercial and service center that offers different but complementary facilities and services to those in the individual resorts. The Nangaramoan Beach Development will be a 50-hectare well- balanced forest and coastal ecosystem designed to increase tourist arrivals and provide sustainable community livelihood.
