TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Oct. 28 (PIA) – – – The Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) reported the status of its infrastructure projects during the last quarter meeting of the Regional Project Monitoring Committee (RPMC).
Cir Rodney Cacatian, department manager for Planning and MIS of CEZA, said amid pandemic, the construction of the different projects of CEZA were continuously implemented but assured that proper health protocols were in place.
He said the San Vicente Causeway and Wharf is now 92.62 percent completed as of October 15.
Once completed, the PHP155 million wharf in San Vicente village, will be the take-off point to tourism destinations in the Cagayan Freeport, such as Palaui Island.
The more than PHP15-million sanitary landfill construction in Diora-Zinungan village is now 87 percent complete and is expected to be completed by Nov. 4.
He said the sanitary landfill would “address the current waste disposal requirements of the Cagayan Freeport” in Santa Ana town.
The Four-unit warehouse and warehouse offices, according to Cacatian are now 62.60 percent completed. It costs PHP301 million located at Port Irene in Casambalangan village.
Earlier, CEZA administrator and chief executive officer Raul Lambino said the projects are under the “Build, Build, Build” program of the Duterte administration. (MDCT/PIA-2)
