SANTA ANA, Cagayan, Sept. 11 (PIA) – A total of 1,975 students from Sta. Ana Fishery National High School here received free school supplies from the Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) yesterday.
CEZA in partnership with Eastern Hawaii Leisure Co. Ltd. as major sponsor, and with the support of the Local Government Unit (LGU) Santa Ana, distributed the school supplies during the conduct of its outreach activity dubbed as “Handog sa Kabataan Tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan Year XIII.”
This community development outreach activity is part of Lingkod CEZA project which recognizes that students cannot reach their full potential in school if they lack the necessary tools to learn.
Remelinda Palattao, faculty president, said the school is fortunate enough to be chosen as beneficiary of CEZA’s outreach activity for this year.
Palattao lauded CEZA, LGU-Sta. Ana and Eastern Hawaii Leisure Co. Ltd. for their efforts and initiatives in helping their students most especially to those who are not able to buy school supplies for immediate use.
CEZA Community Relations Specialist Grace B. Ruiz, on the other hand, advised students to continuously build good character and moral values and set goals towards a successful life.
“CEZA together with LGU-Santa Ana will continue to collaborate so that in our humble ways, we can extend our help to bring better education to our young people within the Cagayan Freeport,” Ruiz said. (MDCT/MJCP/PIA 2-Cagayan)
