TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) have agreed to ink a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for investment and promotion of trade in this region.
The agreement will have DTI regional office 2 and CEZA to collaborate to undertake trade and investment promotion projects that will support the attainment of the region’s vision as the “Gateway to East Asia.”
In a meeting, CEZA Officer-in-Charge Leonardo Cruz said that CEZA administrator Secretary Raul Lambino gave the go signal to strengthen its partnership with the DTI. This was after a workshop and familiarization tour was held in Santa Ana, Cagayan on March 21.
According to DTI Regional Director Leah Pulido Ocampo, joint activities include, but are not limited to the conduct of the following: Investment in conferences, outbound missions, inbound missions, investments in marketing and servicing; and industry development and export trade promotion.
Moreover, the DTI director pointed out that the convergence of the two agencies is to start an exciting, dynamic partnership. A consultation meeting is set for the local businesses and cooperatives to promote and uplift the standardization of business marketing in the area. TNF
