CEZA, represented by Sec. Raul Lambino, Administrator and CEO, and Converge Information and Communications Technology Solutions, Inc. (CICTSI), represented by Mr. Dennis Anthony Uy, President and CEO, entered into a memorandum of understanding on March 20, 2018 at the CEZA Office in Pasig City for the development of a cutting-edge fiber optic cable network and/or system within the Cagayan Special Economic Zone and Freeport (CSEZFP) and the Cagayan North International Airport (CNIA). This is in line with CEZA’s desire to be able to provide its investors, tourists, residents and constituents a digital-ready and self-sustaining industrial, commercial, financial, tourism and recreational economic zone by offering a digitally-enabled/smart and safe CSEZFP and CNIA.
CICTSI is corporation that intends to install, operate and maintain a nationwide broadband service and has signified its intent, pursuant to its franchise and PA to install, lay, operate and maintain an underground micro- duct backbone conduit, underground/ aerial distribution and last mile aerial pure fiber optic cable within the CSEZP and extend it to the Cagayan North International Airport.
