Secretary Raul L. Lambino of CEZA inspected the condition of various ongoing projects inside the Cagayan Special Economic Zone and Freeport (CSEZFP) this morning, November 16, 2020 in Santa Ana, Cagayan.
The Secretary, together with Santa Ana, Cagayan Mayor Nelson Robinion and some investors went to the different sites of on-going infrastructure projects such as the four-unit warehouse and warehouse offices, the CEZA Corporate and Commercial Center inside the proposed CEZA Business District, the seawall protection, San Vicente Causeway and Wharf and the Retrofitting and Rehabilitation of Port Irene.
According to the Secretary, infrastructure developments in the freeport shall attract potential locators and investors for investment and expansion and create job opportunities, at the same time, provides the foundation for increased economic activities in Northern Luzon which would significantly improve the Freeport’s contribution to the national economy.
Secretary Lambino said that although the town of Santa Ana was merely affected by the typhoon, CEZA shall continue to help and give assistance in the Province of Cagayan especially in Tuguegarao City which was greatly devastated by Typhoon Ulysses.
