Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) Administrator Raul Lambino said Chinese firm Shanghai Jucheng Supply Management Group will invest in a P5-billion casino and resort project in the province.
The Cagayan politiko and the company recently signed an agreement for the development a Jeju Island-inspired integrated resort and casino.
Included in the project are theme parks and natural parks.
“This is one of the few unspoiled spots in the country that will cater to the sun worshipper, the nature lover and the adventurer,” Lambino said.
Jucheng is expected to bring in an initial $100-million investment into Cagayan in the next few years.
