STA. ANA, Cagayan – The Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) and Pag-IBIG Fund will build 300 housing units for the employees of the ecozone.
CEZA Administrator Raul Lambino and Pag-IBIG Senior Vice President for Business development sector Fermin Sta. Teresa Jr. on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding for the housing project.
Lambino and Sta. Teresa also led the groundbreaking ceremony for the housing site in Diora-Zinungan village in this town.
According to Lambino, the project would primarily cater to CEZA employees, both permanent and contractual, but would also be opened later to residents of Sta. Ana, and other towns of Cagayan.
It will cover a 7.3-hectare property owned by CEZA overlooking green hills and the Pacific Ocean.
Sta. Teresa said the project is the 42nd in the entire country but first among the economic zones and in the area covered by Tuguegarao Pag-IBIG office.
