FinTech PH and CEZA sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on March 08, 2018 at the CEZA Pasig City Office to develop the economic zone into a financial technology hub
In recognition to the invaluable contribution of Financial Technology (Fintech) companies in worldwide trade and commerce and its potential to induce and accelerate a sound and balance industrial, economic and social development of the Cagayan Freeport, CEZA has recently collaborated with FinTech Philippines Association (FinTech PH) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by CEZA Administrator and CEO, Sec. Raul L. Lambino, and FinTech PH Co-Founder, Mr. Thomas Laughlin. The MOU make the two parties partners in the shared strategic and cooperation priorities to support the development of regulations that shall promote sustainable growth of the Cagayan Freeport as a world-class hub for fintech organizations, ideas, talents and endeavors and to also support the organizations applying modern technologies, such as cryptocurrencies, blockchain technologies, alternatives to current financial infrastructure, and others to the current, and future, challenges with regard to financial activities and regulations applicable. This partnership is another step taken by CEZA towards its mission of making the Cagayan Freeport one of the leading financial technology hubs in Asia.
