This is to remind the public, especially the accredited port users of the Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA), to adhere to the requirements and standard operating procedures being implemented on the use of Port Irene and Port San Vicente. Our port operations are supervised by a joint government operative like CEZA, Bureau of Customs, Bureau of Quarantine, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), and Bureau of Immigration (BI). We take the implementation of our regulations seriously.
Any articles or commodities imported through Port Irene and Port San Vicente and taken outside the Cagayan Special Economic Zone and Freeport (CSEZFP) jurisdiction, inside the Philippine Customs territory shall be endorsed accordingly to the proper government entities for proper valuation of custom duties, taxes, additional fees and charges, and additional requirements. In the same light, any misdeclaration, misclassification and undervaluation will be regarded as fraud, and such commodities and articles will be deemed illegal or smuggled and subjected to seizure.
The public is also requested to inform CEZA right away of any fraudulent operations involving Port Irene or Port San Vicente. Rest assured that CEZA gives premium to the integrity of its authority. Any activities that will be found fraudulent or illegal will be acted upon immediately and correspondingly.
